BaoBrain Installation & User Guide

1. Overview

BaoBrain is an analytics & optimization suite for online stores. It captures customer interactions, turns them into actionable insights, and helps you fix friction to grow conversions—without guesswork.

2. Install BaoBrain

1. Open your platform’s app marketplace. (Shopify or BigCommerce)
2. Search “BaoBrain”. Open the app listing.
3. Click “Install”. Approve permissions to connect your store.
4. Finish the wizard. We securely inject a lightweight tracking script—no manual code required.

3. (Optional) Connect Google Analytics 4

Connecting GA4 enhances your insights. If you don’t have a GA4 property yet, follow these steps:

1. Go to analytics.google.com and log in.
2. Open the Admin panel (bottom-left gear).
3. Under Property, click + Create Property.
4. Enter a name, set time zone & currency, then continue.
5. Choose Web, enter your site URL, and Create Stream.
6. Copy your Measurement ID (starts with G-), then paste it in BaoBrain’s Integrations.

Notes: New properties may take a few minutes to appear. You may need to reconnect your Google account in BaoBrain so it shows up.

4. Post-Install Setup

• Automatic Tracking: Our script tracks clicks, scrolls, sessions, etc. No manual code.
• Data Starts Flowing: Initial events appear in your dashboard within minutes.
• Verify (optional): Open your store in an incognito window and browse a few pages. Check “Recent Sessions” in BaoBrain.

5. Using the App

• Dashboard: Key metrics, funnels, and alerts.
• Heatmaps: See where visitors click & scroll on each page.
• Session Replays: Watch real user journeys to spot friction.
• AI Insights: Prioritized recommendations to fix drop-offs.

6. Troubleshooting / FAQ

“I don’t see any data yet.”

• Ensure your store is live and the app is installed.
• Give it a few minutes after first install.
• Refresh the BaoBrain dashboard.

“Tracking script isn’t loading.”

• Confirm your store isn’t in maintenance mode.
• Check the browser console for script errors.
• Re-installing the app can resolve injection issues.
